Heat Sheet Calculator
The calculator will give you how many sheets of Heat-Sheet your project will require and how much concrete to order. You just have to fill in the following info:
Zip Code: Used to determine which vendor your Heat-Sheet will be shipped from. This helps us get the price right for you.
For each area of floor fill int eh following. If you need more than one section, hit Add Section:
Name: (Optional) just a useful way to remind yourself which part is which
Width and Length: If your building floorplan is a rectangle, this is all you need. If it has several areas you can define a rectangle for each one.
Openings: If there are any areas of the floor that are open or left without concrete, calculate the square ft and enter it here. If there are no areas like that, just put zero.
Slab Thickness: The thickness is how many inches above the heat sheet foam your concrete goes. See image below for illustration of how slab thickness relates to the heat sheet shape.
When you have entered your sections and measurements, hit Calculate. The results will be displayed below. The columns mean this:
Section and Name: From what you entered above.
Square Footage: Calculated by Length X Width and then subtracting Openings
Panels: The number of Heat Sheet panels needed to cover the Square Footage and then rounded up to the nearest multiple of 8 because it comes in bundles of 8 sheets.
Depth: The total height of the Heat-Sheet panel plus the slab thickness. This is useful for determining final floor height when prepping the grade of the earth work under the slab.
Concrete (YD^3): This is the estimated volume necessary for the floor including the extra to fill in the channels in the Heat-Sheet.
Total: The price of the heat sheet based on the per piece price and quantity needed. This is before taxes and freight. To get those totals, submit your project and our experts will give you a complete quote for your order straight to your site.

Heat-Sheet is a rigid foam insulation panel designed specifically for radiant in-floor heating. It has built-in channels that hold your PEX tubing securely in place and make your layout quick, clean, and consistent. By insulating beneath your tubing, Heat-Sheet keeps the warmth moving upward into your flood rather than losing it in the ground. This improves comfort, speeds up warm-up times, and helps your system run more efficiently.
Basics on In-Floor Heating Insulation Design
Most projects use Heat-Sheet with an R10 value. This provides strong insulation and excellent heat retention. It’s the most popular because it fits most installations.
After you submit your project, a team member will review your selection and help make sure everything matches your layout and location.
