In the closet, under the stairs, next to the suitcase is where Steph installed her HUG Hydronics In-Floor Heating System.
"I did it in about an hour," she says, "It's so easy I think my 8 year old son could do it."
Traditional in-floor heating means a wall of plumbing: manifolds, valves, dozens of fittings. HUG replaces all of that with one tank, a set of pumps, and a control panel that knows, with the help of a thermostat or 2, when each part of your floor needs heat.

Do I need a plumber or electrician? No. The system is low-pressure and designed for homeowner installation. Wiring is limited to connecting thermostat wires with a small screwdriver — no electrician-level work involved.
What if my house is an odd shape, or I have multiple floor types? The Wizard walks you through your specific floors, zones, and insulation setup. If it's unusual, our team will help you customize a plan on a call — no charge to ask.

It arrives — Delivered ready to install, on your schedule.

Part 2 - Install it yourself
- Plan for in-floor heating
- Insulate under your floor (we recommend Heat-Sheet for walk in ease).
- Lay your PEX pipes down according to your layout.
- Pour your cement
When the house is ready for heat:
- Install your boiler (may want a pro for this part)
- Connect your PEX pipes to the HUG tank, using the provided clamps
- Connect hoses to boiler
- Wire your thermostats- strip the wire, attach it to the labeled terminals.
- Fill the system with water and power it on.
DONE- no waiting on inspections for a wall of copper.

- A pipe cutter — PEX pipe to length
- A pair of pliers — tighten clamps
Mostly, you connect it, fill it with water, and turn it on.
