FAQ:

  • What's the difference between the Holey Hose Holder sizes?

    The 3, 4, and 10-loop versions differ by how many PEX loops they organize at once — 3 and 4-loop are sized for small homes and buildings, while the 10-loop version suits larger multi-zone installs.

  • Do I need a pressure test kit?

    A pressure test kit lets you verify your PEX loops don't leak before you pour concrete or close up a subfloor — recommended for any installer, DIY or contractor, since catching a leak before the floor is closed is far easier than after.

  • Do I need the PEX Layout Draft Design service, or can I do it myself?

    If it is a simple project (1 zone, all concrete), then doing it yourself is as easy as planned back and forth. For multi-zones or using more than 1 floor style, a PEX layout can make the wisest use of your time and supplies.

  • What's the difference between EZ Route and Holey Hose Holder organizers?

    Both hold PEX pipe in place during installation; they differ in routing style and mounting method. The Holey Hose Holder has the ability to swivel it's routers to fit incoming PEX loops from all angles, but is designed to mounted in the concrete. The EZ Route can often be used to help route PEX pipes overhead (for heating the second floor).

  • Do I need the Foamboard Stapler, or can I install without it?

    Most DIY single-room installs don't require the rental stapler. It's also not very useful for anyone doing Heat-Sheet, where staples are only needed at corners. It's intended for larger jobs where a crew is fastening PEX to foam board at volume.
