Price Estimate Table

HUG Hydronics Price Estimate Table

Use this table to get a rough sense of project cost by square footage. Totals include a full boiler kit, the HUG Hydronics tank and pumps, PEX tubing, and Heat-Sheet insulation. Choose electric or gas/propane to see how fuel type shifts your total — and note that the cheaper option flips depending on project size.

FAQ:

Q: Is electric or gas cheaper for a HUG Hydronics system?
It depends on the size of your project. For spaces up to about 1,500–1,800 sq ft, an electric boiler typically costs less overall. Above that size, gas or propane usually becomes the more cost-effective choice, and the gap grows as square footage increases.

Q: Does this price include installation?
No — these estimates cover materials only (boiler, tank, pumps, PEX, and insulation). You'll need to arrange installation yourself or through a contractor. Most HUG Hydronics components install with basic tools, which is part of why many customers install their own system.

Q: Why is there a price range instead of one number?
The range reflects your choice between an electric or gas/propane boiler kit at that project size — the low end is typically whichever fuel type is cheaper for your square footage, and the high end is the other.

Q: What's not included in these estimates?
Antifreeze isn't included, and this assumes a single-floor installation with typical new-construction insulation and a 25 BTU/sq ft heating load. If your project has multiple floors, older/thinner insulation, or a higher heating load, your actual cost will run higher — contact us for a more precise quote.

Q: Can I get a more exact quote for my specific project?
Yes — email sales@hughydronics.com or call (218) 587-5001, or use our personalized quote tool for a number based on your exact square footage and setup.
