Wizard's Help PEX pipes
PEX Pipes
PEX tubing is the backbone of your radiant heating system. It’s flexible, durable, and designed to handle the continuous cycling of warm water that keeps your floors comfortable. Radiant installations typically use 3/4” or ½”PEX, which strikes the right balance between flexibility and flow efficiency.
1/2" PEX comes in 300-foot and 1,000 foot rolls. Shorter rolls are easier to handle for small rooms or segmented floors. For larger areas or long loop runs, the 1,000-foot rolls are more efficient and help reduce the number of splices or transitions you need to make. Your total footage depends on your floor size and your PEX spacing (8” on-center for wood floors and 12” on-center for concrete).
If you choose 1,000-foot rolls, using a PEX uncoiler can make installation much smoother. It keeps the tubing from twisting, looping, or kinking as you pull it, especially on big pours or long loops. It’s not required, but can save a lot of time and frustration during installation.
The Wizard calculates your tubing length automatically, and after you submit your project, a team member will help confirm that your PEX choices fit your design perfectly.
