The Heat Sheet is a rigid foam insulation board that has nodules to hold your in-floor heating pex pipes. So you literally step the pex pipes into place. 

This replaces the standard pink foam insulation board that you typically would staple pex pipes to.  It also replaces the staples. You may still want a staple or something at the curves in your pex pipes.

The Heat-Sheet heavy is available in the 3 1/4" thickness, R-value 10.

Heat-Sheet® Heavy Panels are made with expanded polystyrene (EPS) a tough, high-density, closed-cell foam insulation that is engineered to minimum compression strength of 25 psi to support the weight of cast-in-place concrete. 


Heat-Sheet® Heavy's tubing channel system provides proper, multidirectional placement of 1/2", 5/8" or 3/4" I.D. tubing with 4" on-center
points.


APPLICATIONS

Heat-Sheet® Heavy Radiant Floor Panels can be used in all under concrete radiant floor applications, including:

  • Heat-Sheet Saves Money

    Here are the potential savings you can get by simply using Heat-Sheet instead of a similarly priced flat panel:

    • Vapor barrier costs — $0.06-$0.08/ft2.
      Since Heat-Sheet has an integral vapor barrier, you won’t have to purchase and install this item separately.
    • Panel laying and taping costs — $0.10-$0.15/ft2.
      Heat-Sheet panels are sized for easy handling and come with a convenient interlock that will save your crew precious labor hours when laying and taping them.
    • Pipe installation costs — $0.40-$0.50/ft2.
      The most substantial savings you’ll see are thanks to Heat-Sheet’s nodules that allow you to walk the PEX tubing in place. No need to bend over or go down to your knees to staples the tubes to the panels — stapling is only required at the bends. This handy feature will let you achieve notable savings on labor, as you’ll be able to cut down on the size of the crew and still lay the tubing down faster.

  • It's Easy!

    "It's going great. We're laying about 8-10,000 feet per day with two guys. It's very easy. You don't get a sore back from (bending down) when you have to tie down the rebar. It's great stuff — I don't think I would want to do it any other way now. One guy could probably run 6,000 feet by himself if it came down to it. If we weren't using Heat-Sheet, we'd probably be laying 5,000-6,000 feet between 3-4 guys, so we're possibly doubling the footage with half the guys."
